  1. As the mother of an adopted child, we created his “story” and from day 1 talked about adoption. He grew up hearing the words and knowing his own story. As he grew older and asked questions, the answers were always age appropriate. He has always been comfortable with himself and knowing his story. Every child has a story, some stories are just a little different. It should never been hidden from your child. If you lie about that I think you break a trust and bond and they wonder what else you have lied about over the uears. It’s not big deal, just be honest right from the beginning.
